1 year!... I'm opening an area!??!
Maray na aga po sa indo gabos!
This week was exciting.
One of the districts in our mission is becoming a stake so the area President came and we performed the play for the new stake. It was one of the most spiritual experiences. at the end of the play as the missionaries sang the last song I looked out at the audience and I saw tear-filled eyes and I felt so impressed that there was so much divine help in the process of making the play. The spirit was there as we wrote it, practiced and especially as we performed it. The nonmember mayors and government officials that got up at the end to share their impressions also added greatly to the spirit.
Here are the links to the video of a sneak peek of the play: here and here

On Sunday at church, they officially announced the wards are splitting to create another ward. We thought we would be moving wards with our area but NO. They gave our whole area and everyone we have been teaching to another set of missionaries, so we will be opening an area in the Zone Leader's old area. We found out at church and then after church we started working in our new area. It is so beautiful and big and there are so many members that live here and they are very helpful. Of course, we are very sad to be giving away all of our people with baptismal dates, but we know they will be well taken care of. It feels good to have a new start.

I also hit my one year mark on June 20th and celebrated with a nice bowl of mac& cheese that my mom sent.
I am privileged to be a missionary. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's Church. I know that only through the added testament of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, can we truly know Him, His mission, His character, and His Atonement. I know that only through the living the principles of faith and repentance and making covenants can we obtain eternal joy in this life and through the end of time. I know our Father in Heaven loves us. He is waiting to bless us, strengthen us, and help us return to Him. I felt His love for me and for all the children that He has made us stewards over. I am so blessed to work in His vineyard under the loving direction of the Lord of the Vineyard, Jesus Christ.
I love you all so much! Have a great week!
