Healed by a Priesthood Blessing

Magandang umaga !

This week was wild. It ended up being a great Sunday and the people we are teaching are making notable progress but as missionaries, we are thrown curve ball after curve ball. Luckily the promise is sure that "nothing can stop the work from progressing until the Great Jehovah shall say, "The work is done."

The first hindrance to the work came when after our first lesson of the day when Sister Makanda twisted her ankle tripping over the railroad. We don't know if it was sprained or if she irritated a nerve but she couldn't walk.

Here is an example of one such railroad. (jk its the only picture I took this week I just wanted to show it)

The next day, in the evening we decided to try to work because there was only a little pain when she walked on it. By the end of the night, I was the one that couldn't walk. Within a few hours, I had developed a 102 fever and I felt like I was being stabbed where my kidneys were.

The next day we went to the hospital because my condition hadn't changed. After queuing for 4 hours, I was prescribed ibuprofen (which they were out of at the hospital - haha), so I went home and got a priesthood blessing. Within the hour that the Elders had left from giving me a blessing, my fever was gone. The next day we got up and started working like nothing had happened. I know that God's power really is on earth in order to bless his children.

I'm okay now.

Oh and Happy Mothers Day to all the beautiful mothers who sacrifice day after day for their children. Especially thank you to my Mother who takes the time to fix my atrocious English in all my blog posts. I love you, Mom.
