Ugly Feet

Marayna Hapon po sa indo lubos!

Sister Makanda and I bought mumus as an expression of our companionship unity.

This week's death toll (of things that I have personally killed):
  • 2 rats
  • 7 billion cockroaches
  • my feet

And then shall they say: How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings unto them, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings unto them of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion: Thy God reigneth! 3 nephi 20:40

This week I have never felt more guided by the spirit while finding. One person we talked to told us that he has been taught by many missionaries from other religions, but he always sees us passing by and told us that we were the missionaries that he had been waiting for. I excitedly I set an appointment with him and got his address. After Ward Council on Sunday, we were running late to his appointment, so we worried that we wouldn't be able to find him. As we walked to his neighborhood, we passed a lot of alleys all lined with small houses; we hadn't found his house yet. I got a distinct impression that I should start asking people if they knew him. I immediately turned around, walked to the nearest house to ask a girl sitting there "Do you know _______?"  She paused a moment then said, "let me go get him." Sister Makanda and I were stunned! The first house I stopped at was his mother-in-law's, and he was there. We were able to then share an amazing lesson with him, his wife, and their two kids. They had great questions! I know if we hadn't been following the Spirit, we would have just asked around, found his house empty, and missed out on a great lesson. Yet because we heeded the subtle promptings of the Spirit, we were directed right to this family in a sea of houses.

Have a good week!
