Marayna ukdo po sa indo gabos!
This week we didn't have a lot of work because Sister Makanda had a 101 temperature for 4 days. She's okay now and miraculously so are the people we are teaching. All of our people who have a baptismal date came to church again, which was a HUGE miracle.
I have been studying a lot about "real Intent" this week. My favorite scripture about this is in Moroni 7:6-7:
6 For behold, God hath said a man being evil cannot do that which is good; for if he offereth a gift, or prayeth unto God, except he shall do it with real intent it profiteth him nothing.
7 For behold, it is not counted unto him for righteousness.
Some people may follow commandments, go the church every week, even serve a mission but if we do all these things because we know its right, but we really wish to be doing something else, if our heart isn't right-- it's not counted to us as righteousness.
That may seem a little harsh, I mean you are giving your time and energy to follow commandments, and you aren't even reaping the rewards. You are doing all these things, but you aren't personally benefiting from it. You don't change your nature, you aren't repenting and becoming like Christ--that's the real waste.
We have to be careful that we are not just busy in the church, but we should be actively living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We should be giving God good gifts, that is our will, our desire to do His will and our real intent. He has said, "Follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent..."
I love you all!
