Heartbreak

This week has been... rough. We experience so many heartbreaks a day of people we are teaching telling us not to come back. Even thou they say they know it's true they have felt the spirit, but because of social reasons, they reject the witness that they have received. It seems like once they feel the spirit and feel the truth, they get scared of the social implications and the change they would have to make in their life. 

To me, it's a great witness that this work is true because they really feel it, we know they do. One contact we had this week showed us this principle very obviously. I started talking to this woman, and after some conversation, she tells us that she believes Jesus's true church was lost and that all the leaders of churches are close to God in words, but their heart is not. She basically quoted what God told Joseph Smith. I immediately explained the apostasy and testified of the restoration and shared what God told Joseph Smith. The spirit was so strong as we testified that Christ's church is again on the earth and how it was going to bless her. We could see it in her eyes that she was feeling the spirit and looked at us in wonder and took the pamphlet I was holding. There was a long pause, and then I asked if we would come to share our message with her. All of a sudden she acted very cold and said "Sorry I am very very busy, I am never here." and tried to give me back the pamphlet and shut the door. 

As we left the contact, Sisters Makanda and I said "She felt it! She really felt it!" and it was amazing how fast she chose to reject it. Anyway, the work is hard here but we are happy, and we are fighting Satan every minute.

Our ray of sunshine is this family we found who's mother is a member and just came back from a job in Saudi Arabia and wants to return to church. We are teaching her 7 kids and its always a happy end to a hard day when we share with them!
