Lots of Pictures

Magandang umaga po sa inyong lahat!

This week is going to be mostly pictures.

One thing that was really stressful when I got here was that there are no real addresses, a lot of little alleys, and a LOT of houses. I used to get so confused because we have 9 different areas and they all looked the same to me. But that weakness has definitely become a strength. I remember all the little paths and know all the shortcuts. One of our members lives in a river bed (which is so incredibly dangerous if there is a storm,) and we have to scale the 150ft concrete wall to get down there.

It's way steeper than it looks and is more like a sandbag ladder than stairs.

Also, I saw one of the grossest spiders this week:

if you get out a phone or camera to take a picture, she squints her eyes like this

There is this devil dog that spends all day on top of a wall. He is ALWAYS there. Sometimes we forget he's there at night, and it's dark, and he starts barking and ugh! It's just really scary when it's dark! haha

Here's my update of new foods I have eaten: dugot (condensed blood), chicken feet, pig feet, fried liver, pig ear, chicken intestine (this is actually so so delicious) and fish eyes.

One of the lessons that I am learning is that God is guiding every aspect of our lives and is giving us exactly what we need to grow. We need to not worry and trust the Master's hands. "Consider the lilies, how they grow, they toil not neither do they spin."

Have a good week!

Love you!
