Tired but Happy

Magandang tangali po sa inyong lahat!

yes, I am wearing a sweater because my body has adjusted to the climate and now I get cold here.

I am very tired haha. SIster Parcon has been waking up at 5 am every day to do extra studies or to make time for more appointments in the day. There is so much work to do here. I am sometimes overwhelmed with how big our area is, how many people live here, and how many are receptive to the Gospel.

There is a lot of opposition in this work. I have come to learn in a very real way who God is and have seen His power and mercy. I have also learned that the Adversary is real and have seen how hard he works to make us miserable. We fight him for the people we are teaching and it is very tiring.

One person who has come out triumphant is Nanay Letty. It has been a long time coming with her, and I shared a story on here about her hesitation to accept a baptismal date. It has been a long 4 months filled with many trials. Including the death of her sister ( we were there the day it happened.). This work is intense, and it's hard but oh how full our joy is when we come out triumphant and choose God in-spite of all the opposition!
And we have suffered all manner of afflictions, and all this, that perhaps we might be the means of saving some soul; and we supposed that our joy would be full if perhaps we could be the means of saving some. Alma 26:30

Letty!
Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all powerall wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a mercifulBeing, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name. Alma 26:35

Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen. Alma 26:37

There is no greater joy than this work, despite all the hardships, of that I testify!
I love you all!

-Sister Gray
