Be Bold

Magandang umaga!

This week we decided to be bold with a lot of the people we are teaching who haven't been coming to church. We told about 5 different families that If they didn't come to church this week, we couldn't continue coming back because there are other people ready to accept our message. On Sunday we were shocked by how many of them actually came to church! One man came to church which we had just invited on the street. We are teaching him now.

One of the people who surprisingly came to church was the father of a part member family. The mother has been inactive for 15 years and her daughter-in-law as well, their husbands aren't members. We were teaching them one night, and the daughter-in-law told us she didn't believe in prophets. I was overcome with intense concern for them and testified about the importance of prophets and priesthood. At that moment, I gained a fuller understanding of how important these principles are. I felt so much love and concern for them because we need priesthood, saving ordinances, and an organized church to become perfected and return to our father in heaven.

Tomorrow one of the missionaries we live with is going home. She doesn't want to, and as we watched her pack, we felt the same way about our own missions. It's going too fast. I only have 11 months left, and I can't imagine living anywhere else. This is my home, the people are my family, and this work is my source of joy.

I am trying to live every moment to its fullest potential and work as hard as I can while I have the chance. My favorite verse about this is in 2 Nephi 28:24 "Wherefore wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion." We shouldn't be resting now that we have found the Gospel. We should always be laboring to acquire spiritual knowledge, uplift and edify others and help to build the Lord's kingdom on earth.

Love you all. Have a good week!
