So Not Vegetarian Anymore...
Hello! Malo'e'leilei! and Kumusta po!
Since last week's blog post was so long, this week I am going to just share some pictures of this week!

The funny thing about this picture is that I got 2 more bags the next day through the mail from my brother. My cupboard is full of just popcorn. I'm getting fat. |
We had a huge cultural event at the stake center to celebrate all the cultures in Sacramento. There was Mong, African, Mexican, Tongan and even Filipino! This pic is with all the Filipinos and former missionaries who served there, or in my case, future missionary. The Elder above me is Elder Manalansang, and he is from the Philippines and is serving in my zone. We get to talk all the time in Tagalog. He is the best!
We went to an "eating" yesterday after Sister Tatafu's homecoming talk (the one who served in the Philippines). Us palangi people would've just had a vegetable tray or little sandwiches but not the Tongans! Ooooh, no! They had 4 pigs on every table. That comes out to over 20 pigs they had in that backyard. The table was stacked so high with food you couldn't put a plate down!
As a former lifelong vegetarian, the amount of meat there was scary. I ate everything. I ate muscles for the first time, an octopus tentacle, pigskin, and this raw fish in coconut milk all within a 5 minute period. I really enjoyed the octopus.
I love these people so much. I get sad every time I think about leaving.
God is good. I Love you all. Peace!
-Sister Gray
