Mangandang Hapon!

Rice field and me

This week we asked this lady on a bike if we could share with her and she agreed but told us her house was far away. We told her that we would follow her on foot. We proceeded to follow her through a maze of rice fields as she rode ahead with her two babies. Every time we approached an isolated house we thought this had to be it but watched as she rode past. That's the story of how we followed her for 30 minutes to teach a lesson.

Yes, my nametag is sideways. Ayos lang yan.

I don't have any time to do art here, but we woke up at 4:30 to go running one day and I ended up with some extra time. Here is a picture of a collage I made for the front of my "Preach My Gospel" book:

Early morning collage

There are essentially two things that need to happen before the Second Coming: 1) the literal gathering of Israel and 2) Jesus Christ's actual arrival. The gathering of Israel is the most important thing happening on the earth today. Take part in it!! :)

We sat down this week with a mother of a family we are teaching. She has a testimony but doesn't want to commit to being baptized because she feels as though she would be making the decision for her family. This mother told us that she can only commit to what the family agrees upon. As we were listening to her concerns, I knew we needed to share a scripture, but I had no idea what I would share. I didn't know any scriptures about indecisiveness!!  In a moment of faith, I decided to just open my scriptures and trust that the Lord would provide what she needed to hear. He cares for her and knows exactly what would touch her heart. The first scripture I looked at said this:
And now, because of their steadfastness when they do believe in that thing which they do believe, for because of their firmness when they are once enlightened, behold, the Lord shall bless them and prolong their days, notwithstanding their iniquity--  Helaman 15: 10
I was absolutely in awe of how aware God is of our personal situations. We proceeded to share the story from where that Book of Mormon chapter. That converted Lamanites who received a witness of the truth immediately buried their weapons as a sign of faith. We then helped her apply it to her situation.

I love being an instrument in the hands of the Lord and helping him reach out to his children. I have felt the Spirit stronger than I ever have in my life this week while bearing testimony of the truthfulness of our message. I know its all true.
